I am currently in the process of training my own standard poodle guide dog.
His name is rolo, and he's currently 15 weeks old, so still a pup.
If you have any dog stuff your not using, or could help us out with a little cash, as vests, jackets, training and the like do cost a lot, please get in contact with me.

awesome. I'm going to get my guidedog in may and I'm going to learn everything I can. Then I plan to by a puppy of my boyfriends choice and train it to be his guide. I've trained dogs to do basic obedience, ajility, and now this will be my newest challenge. I'm real excited about it. hope it goes well for us both.
lol And I was just talking about a very good friend of mine who's an owner/trainer and who does wonderfully with her dogs. I'm glad this thread has been started. I'd be interested in learning what you guys have to say and in how the training goes.
Cool I've always wanted to train my own guide dog too.
